Mid West Music Fest History

The Mid West Music Fest (MWMF) in Winona, Minnesota, was born out of a vision to create a grassroots music festival that would celebrate local and regional talent while fostering a strong sense of community. It began in 2010, when festival founder Sam Brown, a music lover, took up a position with AmeriCorps, he was inspired by the vibrant arts scene in Winona and wanted to create an event that would bring together musicians, artists, and audiences in a unique, multi-venue setting.
